Box Canyon Biking
Transfer time from La Quinta Resort & Spa: 30 - 35 minute transfer
Riders, from beginners to the thrill seeking, enjoy this 14-25 mile biking adventure commencing in either Indian Wells or La Quinta. The ride begins with the gradual climb heading towards The La Quinta Cove. Paved bike paths surrounded by the beautiful desert create an energizing outdoor adventure. One of the unique sites along the ride is the Steps of Moses (as played by Charlton Heston in "The Bible"), which offers incredible views of the valley.
After a break for refreshments, competent and physically fit riders are offered the option of an unpaved course providing a taste of true off-road mountain biking while the others may enjoy an extended break. Once reunited, riders coast downhill, through an ancient ocean bed, and then on to PGA West for a second break point. The final leg is a downhill and flat run to the designated finishing point.
